Information collected

The newsletter form collects an email address, the date and time consent was given, subscription status, and—if someone unsubscribes—the date and time of that request. A private random token is created so each subscriber can use their own unsubscribe link.

The newsletter form does not request a name, home address, payment information, or other personal details.

How information is used

Email addresses are used to provide the free The Giving Tree PDF, send the monthly Kits & More by JMC newsletter, manage subscriptions, and honour unsubscribe requests. Subscriber information is not sold or shared with advertisers.

Storage and protection

Subscription records are kept in private hosted storage. Public website pages do not display subscriber addresses. Subscriber exports require protected owner-controlled access, are not cached, and are used only to prepare and send the newsletter. Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used to reduce the risk of unauthorized access or disclosure.

Service providers

Website hosting, data storage, and email delivery services process limited subscriber information only as needed to operate the website and deliver the newsletter. They are not authorized by Kits & More by JMC to use the subscriber list for their own advertising.

Retention and choices

Active subscription information is kept while a person remains subscribed. After an unsubscribe request, a limited record may be retained so the request can be respected and the address is not accidentally added back to active mailings.

Subscribers may use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. They may also request access, correction, or deletion of their newsletter information by emailing kits.morebyjmc@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the newsletter or website changes. The current effective date will always appear near the top of this page.
